Consistency in training through injury prevention is critical whether you’re an experienced athlete or newcomer just getting back into sport. Over the past two years Andy’s therapy skills have helped me to maintain the quality and consistency in training I’ve needed, and he’s always gone the that extra mile for an urgent session at short notice. Alongside this Andy’s passion means he’s always been happy to share his wider knowledge and advice, which anyone would stand to benefit from.

Andy is a naturally talented sports massage therapist with a real gift for picking up and treating injuries. He is extremely good at what he does and has single handedly converted me from a skeptic to appreciating the importance of regular sports massages. I now cannot do without them! He has helped keep me injury free and contributed to helping me achieve my race results in my most successful race season so far. I cannot sing his praises enough and am very grateful to him for all his help this year.

As someone who started the year as a massive sceptic on the benefits of sports massage, I have been converted over the last 6 months whilst working with Andy. He has done a great job, helping me to get through the season injury free (no mean feat based on my recent history) and has tailored his approach based on my requirements at different stages of the season. Andy is always happy to talk about his methods and has excellent knowledge of the maintenance techniques applied through stretching, taping and massage.

Enrique Flores /Testimonial

It’s not like when I was a teenager anymore.

Back then, I remember, I used to swim half a dozen eliminatory heats in the morning, then two or three finals, and all I needed was some swim down, some stretching, sometimes a quick massage, quick warm up swim, just jump from the medal podium to the starting block.

Now I am a 42 year old man but the opportunity came to undertake a 2 way Windermere in 2012, I took  it all too conscious of the risks involved in a great expedition. As expected the wear and tear in the muscles and tendons after the swim was quite significant, they were at the brink of injury. It took us several weeks  to put some order to the pain. And when I write  “took-us” that is to recognise the effect of Andy’s hands there.By mid September I was ready to swim the English Channel in a Relay.

I write this as a testimonial to the trust I can leave to Andy’s hands to support my sporting career at my age and training conditions. Couldn’t have done with out it.
